This image was captured on a night of unusually good seeing for Michigan. Note the distinct demarcation of the Cassini division, the dark polar area, and little white water vapor cloud specks in the north.
Color CCD image taken by Dave O'Toole on 9/26/1999 from Lake Orion, Michigan. The telescope used was a Celestron 8" SCT operating at f/34; the CCD camera used was an SBIG ST-237. Post-processing was done with Adobe Photoshop.
