This big guy is the pride of the club. The 17.5" started life as an Obsession telescope, but very little original equipment remains. This telescope is a supurb all-round instrument with exceptional optical quality. To quote Dave O'Toole on viewing M-42 at a recent observing session, "Oh wow, that is intense!". The 'scope is housed at the OAC observing site at Addison Oaks County Park ,and is available for use by members and their guests on designated observing nights. If you would like to use the telescope, just call the member who has volunteered to be the contact person for that evening. Don't miss your chance to take in some thrilling views!
